Profession: Director of Operational Innovation - Six Sigma
Professional experience and career objectives: The Dir is accountable for accomplishing innovative business process improvements resulting in measurable financial and/or customer loyalty gains by applying the Six Sigma methodology in their assigned area of responsibility. They are a Project Team leader who receives specialized training in the methodology and tools, and then mobilizes the team members, and others in the organization, to accomplish the aggressive goals specified in the Project Charter.
Skills and areas of expertise: Over the course of a year, they would be expected to complete approximately 2 to 6 DMAIC projects, depending on size, complexity and resources. The Black Belt must both influence others to overcome barriers, and coach/train team members in the methodology.
